Intended use
File handles are used as handles on files. The file handle is attached to the so-called file tang of the file. This attachment can be permanent, in that the file handle is driven onto the file tang, or the file and file handle are connected to each other via an interchangeable holder. In the latter case, the file handle can be used for several files.
