Milling heads, also known as cutterheads, are mainly used for face milling of surfaces and for producing shoulders. Thanks to the standardised indexable inserts of the milling heads, not only can very high cutting performance be achieved, but inserts with different coatings can also be used depending on the material to be processed. Milling heads can be clamped in the milling machine with the aid of a milling arbor.
