Milling head Ø 40 mm with MK3 / M12 inserts
Intended use
Cutterheads are mainly used for face milling surfaces, as the larger milling diameter means that fewer milling passes are required compared to end mills. It is also possible to mill offsets on surfaces. The main advantages of milling heads compared to HSS end mills, for example, are the standardised indexable inserts, with which very high cutting performance can be achieved. Depending on the material to be machined, inserts with different coatings can be used.
