Trademark at paulimot: Always eager to learn and in a good mood
Clara
When did you start your training at paulimot and how do you like your training so far?
I've been an apprentice at paulimot since September 2022. I'm really enjoying my apprenticeship so far. As a hobby photographer, I'm particularly enthusiastic about creating and editing photos in Adobe Photoshop. I also appreciate the fact that I will be working in all teams during my apprenticeship. This has already enabled me to recognise connections in the company's processes that I would otherwise not have been aware of. This includes, for example, recognising which departments are actively involved in dispatch processing.
Which areas at paulimot have you already worked in and which are still ahead of you?
At the beginning of my apprenticeship, I worked in the e-commerce department. Here I was familiarised with product data maintenance and photography by my trainer Matthias. I then supported my colleagues in logistics over the Christmas period. After that, I worked in the Technology team.
The teams ahead of me now are Order Processing and Customer Support, Finance and Administration and Marketing.
What have you enjoyed most so far and what are you particularly looking forward to in the future?
In Technology, I really enjoyed the manual work directly on the machines. A positive side effect was that it gave me a better understanding of the paulimot products. I had no previous experience with wood and metalworking machines, so I was able to gain a lot of new impressions here. In the future, I'm particularly looking forward to working in marketing, especially looking after our social media channels Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest.
Why did you decide to train as an e-commerce clerk?
As the apprenticeship has only been around since 2018, I wasn't aware of it at first. It was only through a job advert that I finally became aware of the apprenticeship as an e-commerce clerk. As I was looking for a commercial apprenticeship where I could also use my creativity, the job description immediately appealed to me.
And why did you decide to train at paulimot? In your opinion, what are the advantages of training in a family business like paulimot?
I immediately felt at home at paulimot because of the family atmosphere. I appreciate the fact that everyone knows each other and is on an equal footing. Especially as a trainee, it's important to me that I can approach my colleagues and ask questions at any time - and that's definitely the case at paulimot!
What qualifications should you have for an apprenticeship as an e-commerce clerk?
You should definitely be communicative and curious. The fields of e-commerce and marketing are constantly evolving, which is why you need to be interested in keeping up to date with new developments in the industry and continuing your education.
Thank you, Clara, for the interview and the many interesting insights into your day-to-day work at paulimot.
