Intended use
End mills are used for carving out pockets, producing grooves or contours, as well as for milling over surfaces or edges. With a finishing cutter, very good dimensional accuracy and a smooth surface can be achieved at high speeds and low feed rates.

Description of the
The four-edged carbide finishing cutter made of tungsten carbide-cobalt with an AlTiN coating has a cutting edge ground over the centre for direct plunging into the workpiece; this eliminates the need for tedious pre-drilling.
The advantages and properties of the aluminium-titanium-nitrogen coating (AlTiN coating):
It is an all-round coating that is suitable for universal use. The AlTiN coating allows hard materials such as steel or stainless steel to be machined, as well as materials such as brass, bronze or plastic. Another advantage over uncoated tools or tools with a TiN coating is that the use of cooling lubricant is not absolutely necessary. However, the use of coolant generally increases the service life of the milling cutter.
