Eva, which team do you work in at paulimot and what are your tasks?
I work part-time in the Finance and Administration team as a clerk for these areas. I also support the Order Processing and Customer Support team every Monday in processing incoming orders. This means that I am always up to date with these tasks and can also help out my colleagues on other days as a holiday or sickness replacement. The insights into the order processing and customer support team also help me in my core job, as they enable me to understand many interrelationships even better. Basically, my tasks as a Finance and Administration Clerk include activities for our own company. This includes recording and account assignment of documents in the "DATEV Unternehmen online" software and preparing documents for the tax office. On the other hand, I also work in the area of accounting services for a purchasing organisation. Here I post the invoices from suppliers and take care of the payment processing of these documents to suppliers and members. I am also the contact person for the association's members and am available to answer any questions they may have about invoicing.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
In the morning, I start the day by categorising my incoming emails and we divide up the upcoming tasks among the team. Then I import the invoice lists from the purchasing association's suppliers, process the incoming emails and, of course, answer any questions by phone. In addition, two days a week, the documents are assigned to accounts in the "DATEV Unternehmen online" software. My working day is usually a colourful mixture of answering questions on the phone and concentrated work on specific tasks. One exception, of course, is Monday, when I always support the order processing and customer support team.
How did you come to paulimot?
I saw a job advert in the newspaper that immediately sparked my interest. In the company where I previously worked, I was responsible for order entry and customer support for many years. Then the opportunity arose to switch to the accounting department, which I took up. The advert on paulimot outlined a position that combined both areas, which naturally appealed to me straight away. When I introduced myself personally at paulimot, I immediately felt very comfortable. The induction was very extensive, because there are a lot of little things you have to pay attention to. Because I don't work full-time, but always in the mornings, I needed some time to familiarise myself with everything. However, I was always very well supported by my colleagues Sabrina, Christine Paulitschek and my team leader Nina and I was able to ask questions at any time.
How does the collaboration in your team work?
Before I came to paulimot, I had already worked in a very well-functioning team, so I naturally hoped to find the same here at the company. And I wasn't disappointed: I was given a very warm welcome right from the start, both by my direct team colleagues and by my colleagues in the other teams. We support each other in the team with our tasks and help each other with questions. Christine Paulitschek is also always a great help, as she can help us with all matters relating to accounting and centralised settlement thanks to her experience. There is a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere not only in my team, but throughout the entire company and I have the feeling that all employees feel part of a large community. I definitely feel very comfortable at paulimot and look forward to working in this team for many years to come.
Thank you, Eva, for the interview and the many interesting insights into your everyday working life at paulimot.
