Intended use
Indexable inserts are used in machining and are fitted to the appropriate turning tools or milling cutters. Cutting inserts come in various shapes and with special coatings, depending on the intended application or the material to be machined. For example, there are special inserts for machining aluminium or non-ferrous metals. The inserts are standardised and can be identified by their respective standard designation. If an insert is worn out, it is simply replaced with a new one.

Description of the
The advantages and properties of this polished insert:The positive geometry in combination with the sharply ground cutting edges enables excellent cutting of aluminium and non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, bronze etc.. These geometric properties enable particularly good surface results to be achieved. The geometry of the cutting edge reduces the formation of a so-called built-up edge when machining aluminium. Very good results can also be achieved when machining both cast iron and plastics. Softer steel grades can also be machined with this indexable insert.
