Intended use
A quick-change steel holder set is a precise and efficient clamping system for lathes to enable the quick change of turning steels, boring bars or other tools. The steel holder with the clamped tool is correctly aligned to the centre of the machine spindle just once. This positioning is fixed using a lock nut and is therefore set to the correct height each time the steel holder is reinserted into the base body. The base body of the system is firmly mounted on the top slide of the lathe and forms the basis of the system. The steel holder is the interchangeable component in which the turning tools are clamped. The system's fine-toothed ratchet system enables repeatable alignment of the tool without the need for readjustment.

Wichtige Aufwertung
Nachdem ich mich als Neuling im Drehen mit einem China-Schnellwechsler rumgeärgert habe, bin ich nun mit dem Paulimot-Schnellwechselstahlhalter sehr zufrieden. Habe mir aus einer M12 Innensechskantschraube einen passenden Befestigungsbolzen für meine Proxxon PD250/E hergestellt. Das Teil stellt eine wichtige Aufwertung meiner Drehbank dar und spart mir jetzt jede Menge Zeit.

Da meine alte WIF-Drehbank ein Unikum ist
Da meine alte WIF-Drehbank ein Unikum ist musste ich die kleinsten Schnellwechsel-Stahlhalter nehmen. Am Spannbügel wurden die Kanten etwas gerundet und die Stahlhalter lassen sich leichter einsetzen. Die obere Hülse wurde für 12mm ausgedreht. Der Abstand der Höheneinstellung zur M12 Befestigungsmutter ist bei mir dann knapp, aber auch das konnte brauchbar angepasst werden. Ich werde mir mit dieser Anschaffung viel Zeit ersparen.
