Drilling/milling machine SIEG SX2H Black Edition

The SIEG SX2H Black Edition is a special edition of the SIEG SX2L. Compared to the SX2L standard version, the Black Edition machine has a large LED control panel, a speed display and the option to change the direction of rotation of the working spindle (clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation). Both the on/off and direction of rotation functions are operated via LED-illuminated pushbuttons. The selected direction of rotation of the work spindle is displayed via LED-illuminated symbols on the control panel. The spindle speed can be finely adjusted using the potentiometer with illuminated graduations. The set speed can be read off the large LED speed display. Another feature of the Black Edition is the special black and red paintwork. The handwheels are made of red anodised aluminium with chrome-plated handles to match the look of the machine. The emergency stop button and two USB ports, which can be used to connect a work light, smartphone or tablet, etc., are located on the side of the milling head.

It is driven by a powerful, brushless DC motor with an output power of 500 watts. Power is transmitted quietly via a toothed belt, even at high speeds. The dynamic control ensures high torque even at low speeds. The entire speed range from 100 to 2,500 rpm is covered by one belt position; it is not necessary to change the drive belt. During drilling operations, the quill stroke is controlled via the feed lever, while the machine has an activatable fine feed for precise infeed in the Z-axis during milling. The ± 45° tiltable Z-column allows both milling and drilling to be carried out at the machining angle set via an angle scale. The adjustable depth stop on the Z-column allows milling and drilling work to be carried out with repeat accuracy. All guides can be adjusted backlash-free using pressure bars. The SX2H Black Edition can be retrofitted with a feed motor.

The SIEG X2P is a 230-volt drilling/milling machine with a speed range of 100 to 2,500 rpm. It is driven by a 350 watt brush motor. Power is transmitted via a 2-stage gearbox. A gear lever is used to select between the high and low speed ranges. The speed can be continuously adjusted within both speed ranges. Thanks to the reduction ratio in the gearbox, the X2P also has sufficient torque in the low speed range. No quill is installed in the X2P. The feed in the Z direction is achieved by moving the milling head via quick adjustment with star knob or via the activatable fine feed. The adjustable depth stop on the Z-column allows milling and drilling work to be carried out with repeat accuracy. In relation to its size, the X2P has large travel ranges in the X and Y axes. All guides can be adjusted backlash-free using pressure bars. The speed controller, the operating light and the micro-fuse holder are located on the front of the operating unit. The emergency stop button and the fault light are located on the left-hand side of the control unit.

Power is transmitted quietly via a toothed belt, even at high speeds. The dynamic control ensures high torque even at low speeds. The entire speed range from 100 to 5,000 rpm is covered by one belt position; it is not necessary to change the drive belt. During drilling operations, the quill stroke is controlled via the feed lever, while the machine has an activatable fine feed for precise infeed in the X-axis during milling. In relation to its size, the SX1P has large travel ranges in the X and Y axes. All guides can be adjusted backlash-free using pressure bars. The speed display, the emergency stop button, the switch for clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation and the speed controller are located on the front of the milling head.
