Intended use
Collet chucks are used to clamp tools with cylindrical shanks or cylindrical workpieces with high precision in machine tools. The collet chuck is pressed or pulled into a tapered holder. The tool or workpiece is precisely centred and securely clamped by the evenly spaced longitudinal slots in the collet chuck.
