Intended use

Description of the
This 5-piece HSS boring bar set is designed for internal machining on small lathes, mini lathes and precision lathes. It is suitable for bores from at least Ø 11 mm and enables both internal turning and the cutting of internal threads on small and precision workpieces. The set contains three boring bars for internal boring. These can be used for machining, enlarging and finishing bores, internal contours and cylindrical internal surfaces. This makes the set particularly suitable for applications in model making, precision engineering, hobby workshops and general small-scale turning work. Additionally, two boring bars for internal thread cutting are included. The 60° version is intended for metric threads. The 55° version is suitable for Whitworth thread profiles, such as BSW and BSF, as well as Whitworth pipe threads such as BSP and G threads. Consequently, the set covers various internal thread profiles and is versatile for machining small internal threads. The tap bars are crafted from HSS and deliver a good balance of toughness, cutting performance, and re-sharpenability. If needed, the cutting edges can be re-ground or adapted to the specific machining task. Each tap bar measures 130 mm in overall length. The set also includes a drill rod holder with a total length of 55 mm and external dimensions of 9 x 9 mm. The holder is designed to accommodate the drill rods and enables their use in the appropriate tool holder on the lathe. For practical and protected storage, the set is supplied in a storage box. Overall, the HSS boring bar set offers a compact and versatile basic kit for precise internal machining, boring and internal threading on small lathes.

Für den angedachten Zweck der ideale Artikel, vielseitig in qualitativ guter Ausführung. Es ist alles dabei was Mann an der Drehbank gut gebrauchen kann.
