Measuring stand with magnetic base and fine adjustment incl. dial gauge 0 - 10

Intended use

A measuring stand is used to hold measuring devices such as dial gauges or feeler lever measuring devices. The base usually consists of a magnetic block. The main component of a measuring stand is the arm. Its adjustable joints allow the measuring instrument to be positioned at the desired location. There are various mounts at the end of the articulated rod for attaching the required measuring instrument. A distinction is made between measuring stands with central clamping and measuring stands with individual joint adjustment. A dial gauge is used for position, concentricity, flatness and comparative measurements, among other things. It is generally used in conjunction with a measuring stand in the respective measuring setup. A distinction is made between analogue and digital dial gauges.

Description of the

This set consists of a measuring stand and a matching analogue dial gauge. The joints of this measuring stand can be clamped individually and securely using clamping screws. The arm has fine adjustment by means of a knurled screw. The articulated arm is mounted on a magnetic base with a ground-in prism. The base is also ground on the back so that the stand can also be used lying down. There are two cylindrical holders at the end of the articulated arm. The magnetisation of the base can be activated or deactivated using a toggle switch. The analogue dial gauge has a measuring range of 0 to 10 mm with a reading accuracy of 0.01 mm. The dial gauge can be attached to the measuring stand either via the clamping shaft with a diameter of 8 mm or via an additional mounting hole on the rear.

Scope of delivery

  • 1 x measuring stand with magnetic base and fine adjustment
  • 1 x additional holder for dial gauge
  • 1 x dial gauge 0 to 10 mm

The dial gauge can be attached to the measuring stand either via the clamping shaft with a diameter of 8 mm or via an additional mounting hole on the rear.

This robust measuring and adjustment gauge enables the precise inspection and alignment of key components on table saws. The integrated analogue dial gauge has a measuring range of 0 to 10 mm and a fine reading of 0.01 mm. This makes even minor deviations between the guide groove, the saw blade and the rip fence clearly visible. To check the saw blade alignment, the adjustable guide elements are aligned with the guide groove on the saw table. The measuring probe is positioned against the saw blade and the dial gauge is set to zero. The device is then moved along the groove. If the displayed value changes, there is a deviation between the guide groove and the saw blade. The parallel alignment of the rip fence can be checked in the same way. The lateral runout or concentricity of a saw blade can be checked by resting the measuring probe against a defined point and slowly rotating the saw blade by hand. The resulting movement of the pointer indicates the existing deviation. This makes the gauge suitable both for the initial setup of a machine and for regular inspection measurements. The two ball-bearing supports can be moved and adjusted to suit different guide grooves or guide widths. Separate scales on the base body facilitate uniform and reproducible adjustment. The large, knurled brass screws allow for easy handling and secure locking. The base body is made of black anodised aluminium and gives a very sturdy and high-quality overall impression. The combination of a solid aluminium body, a precision dial gauge, ball-bearing guides and brass screws is designed to ensure reliable and repeatable use.
