Description of the
This micrometer consists of a fixed and a movable measuring surface that can be adjusted using a feeler ratchet. These two surfaces are hardened and ground. To prevent the micrometer from expanding due to the heat of the user's hand, which could lead to incorrect measurement results, its frame is plastic-coated. The most accurate measurements are achieved at a reference temperature of 20 °C. The scales are matt chrome-plated for easier reading of the measured values. The plastic box included in the scope of delivery protects the micrometer from dirt and damage and ensures practical and proper storage.
