Intended use
Indexable inserts are used in machining and are mounted on the designated turning tools or milling cutters. Cutting inserts are available in various shapes and with special coatings, depending on their intended use or the material to be machined. For example, there are special inserts for machining aluminium or non-ferrous metals. The inserts are standardised and can be identified by their respective standard designation. If an insert is worn, it is simply replaced with a new one.

Carbide indexable insert with TiN coating for a longer service life
Universal range of applications
For machining soft materials such as aluminium
Suitable for machining harder materials such as steel
Description of the
This cutting insert is made of sintered carbide. In contrast to HSS bits, the high temperature resistance of carbide allows higher cutting speeds. In addition, this insert is titanium nitride-coated, which contributes to greater heat resistance and tool life. TiN-coated inserts are intended for universal use. This means that soft materials can be machined in the same way as hard materials.
