Clamping devices

Clamping devices are fixtures used in production technology and mechanical engineering to securely hold workpieces in place during machining. They ensure that the workpiece is held in a fixed position during processes such as milling, turning, drilling or grinding. This enables precise and repeatable machining.

In addition to accuracy, clamping devices also contribute to work safety, as they prevent workpieces from moving in an uncontrolled manner.

Hold-down device

Workpieces are clamped directly to the worktable with a hold-down device. It consists of a curved or bent holding arm, one end of which rests on the table and the other end of which is pressed onto the workpiece using a long screw. In this way, the workpiece can be positioned completely freely.

Two black hold-downs with gold accents hold a light-coloured piece of wood in place. Each hold-down has a screw to adjust the pressure.

Parallel screw clamps

Parallel screw clamps have a double spindle guide so that the clamping surfaces move parallel to each other. The contact pressure transmitted over the entire surface prevents the workpieces from shifting in relation to each other. This is particularly advantageous when transferring bores and dimensions.

Clamping prisms

Clamping prisms are used for parallel clamping, scribing, aligning and checking cylindrical workpieces. Clamping prisms are mainly used for drilling, milling, grinding and inspection work. Clamping brackets can be used to additionally stabilise the workpiece on the prism.

Clamping claws

Clamping claws are clamping devices that are used in particular for machining on milling machines. They can be used to securely clamp workpieces or vices on the machine table of a milling machine.
