Description of the
This ball turning device is made of burnished steel. The turntable with long handle is mounted on a base plate with a diameter of 105 mm. The slide with the TiN-coated indexable insert can be infinitely adjusted by ± 15 mm and can be fixed in the desired position using grub screws. Thanks to this adjustment option, this ball turning device can be used to produce inner radii of up to 15 mm and outer radii or ball moulds with a radius of up to 15 mm. Two mounting holes for M8 hexagon socket head screws are provided on the base plate for mounting the turning device on lathes.

This mini ball turning attachment made from burnished steel can be clamped in the steel holder of lathes. It is intended for use on smaller lathes or for machining turned parts with diameters of up to 20 mm. When delivered, external radii of up to a maximum of six millimetres can be set. If the HSS insert is shortened accordingly, external radii of up to 10 mm can be set. The HSS insert is pre-ground. For optimum results, it is advisable to grind a chip groove. If the clamping screw is loosened, the HSS insert can be infinitely adjusted in the ball turning device. The insert has a clamping surface for a better grip.

Durchmesser ist kein Radius!
Die Kugeldrehvorrichtung hat entgegen der Beschreibung einen Einstellbereich für Radien (Innen als wie außen) von ±15 mm ! Daraus ergeben sich lediglich maximale Kugeldurchmesser von 30 mm. Ansonsten macht die Vorrichtung einen soliden Eindruck.
