Intended use

Turning tools with replaceable inserts are characterised by the fact that worn cutting edges can be replaced quickly and easily. The tedious and time-consuming regrinding of the cutting edge is no longer necessary. Another advantage of turning tools with reversible or replaceable inserts is that the most suitable insert can be mounted on the holder depending on the material to be machined. For example, there are special inserts for machining aluminium or non-ferrous metals. Both the holders and the inserts are standardised and can be identified by the respective standard designation.

Description of the

This boring bar with the standard designation S12M-SDUCR07 has a shank with a diameter of 12 mm and an overall length of 152 mm. The cutting insert is made of sintered carbide. In contrast to HSS bits, the high temperature resistance of carbide allows higher cutting speeds. In addition, this insert is titanium nitride-coated, which contributes to greater heat resistance and a longer service life. TiN-coated inserts are intended for universal use. This means that soft materials can be machined just as well as hard materials.

For special applications, this carbide insert can be replaced by another insert that is suitable for the material to be machined. You can find these special indexable inserts in our range. You can also order the standard inserts from us individually or as a set of 10.

Note: In order to be able to clamp a boring bar with a round clamping shank in a chisel or steel holder with a flat contact surface, a so-called boring bar holder with a corresponding internal diameter is required.

kleine Nacharbeiten

zum Konusausdrehen ausgehend von 16mm Loch war es notwendig etwas an der Stange unterhalb der Wendeplatte nachzuschleifen. Danach funktioniert es Top.
