Intended use

In contrast to HSS bits, the high temperature resistance of carbide allows higher cutting speeds. In addition, this insert is titanium nitride-coated, which contributes to greater heat resistance and a longer service life. TiN-coated inserts are intended for universal use. This means that soft materials can be machined just as well as hard materials.
For special applications, this carbide insert can be replaced by another insert that is suitable for the material to be machined. You can find these special indexable inserts in our range. You can also order the standard inserts from us individually or as a set of 10.
Note: In order to be able to clamp a boring bar with a round clamping shank in a chisel or steel holder with a flat contact surface, a so-called boring bar holder with a corresponding internal diameter is required.
