Intended use
Indexable inserts are used in machining and are mounted on the turning tools or milling cutters intended for this purpose. Depending on the intended use or the material to be machined, inserts are available in various shapes and with special coatings. For example, there are special inserts for machining aluminium or non-ferrous metals. The inserts are standardised and can be identified by the respective standard designation. If a cutting insert is worn, it is simply replaced with a new insert.

Carbide insert TiN-coated for longer tool life
Universal application range
For cutting soft materials such as aluminium
Suitable for cutting harder materials such as steel
Description of the
This cutting insert is made of sintered carbide. In contrast to HSS bits, the high temperature resistance of carbide allows higher cutting speeds. In addition, this insert is titanium nitride-coated, which contributes to greater heat resistance and tool life. TiN-coated inserts are intended for universal use. This means that soft materials can be machined in the same way as hard materials.
