Intended use
Indexable inserts are used in machining and are mounted on the turning tools or milling cutters intended for this purpose. The advantages and properties of this polished insert:
The highly positive geometry in combination with the sharply ground cutting edges and the sintered chip breakers enable excellent machining of aluminium and non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, bronze, etc.
Thanks to these geometric properties, particularly good surface results can be achieved. The highly positive geometry reduces the formation of a so-called built-up edge when machining aluminium. Very good results can also be achieved when machining both cast iron and plastics.
