With the bell-shaped centre punch, round materials up to a diameter of 35 mm can be punched effortlessly. Thanks to the movable tip, the workpiece is inserted into the bell-shaped opening as far as it will go, depending on the size. The centre punch can therefore be precisely centred.

The resharpenable tip of this automatic centre punch is made from hardened spring steel with a hardness of 40 to 50 HRC. The knurling on the brass handle ensures a non-slip surface.
To centre punch, the tip of the centre punch is placed on the scribed point and then the handle is pressed down vertically until the internal spring mechanism is released. This creates a clean marking or centre punch. This process can be repeated several times in succession to make a deeper mark.
The impact force can be infinitely adjusted by changing the spring pressure by turning the knurled cap.

Einfach genial
Offensichtlich hat Palimot Konstrukteure, die aus der Praxis kommen. Da hat sich jemand Gedanken zu einem Problem gemacht, dass so alt ist wie die Braunkohle. Ich bin begeistert. Der Körner ist wirklich gut, wenn er denn winkelig aufgesetzt werden kann. Ich habe mir aus meiner Alu-Restekiste eine Vorrichtung gebaut, mir der die Glocke winkelig gehalten wird. Es ist immer noch eine Fummelei die richtige Höhe einzustellen, wenn sie stimmt, dann sitzt der Körnerpunkt exact. Da bei meinen Basteleien das Ankörnen runder Wellen recht selten ist, kann man die etwas umständliche Handhabung in Kauf nehmen. PS: Der kleine Schwenkbalken ist erforderlich, um bei dünnen Wellen eine Dreipunkt-Auflage zu gewährleisten. Foto Gefunden habe ich diese Teil nur durch Zufall.

Bedienung und Qualität
Auf einer Drehmaschine ist eine Zentrierung kein Problem. Bei Teilen, die man nicht spannen kann, oder wenn keine Drehmaschine vorhanden ist, gibt's nix besseres. Sebst wenn man das Teil etwas schräg ansetzt, ist der Körnerpunkt immer mittig. Stabile Ausführung die auch mal einen harten Schlag verträgt.
