Intended use

A chasing hammer, also known as a punching hammer, is used in crafts such as metalwork, goldsmithing, watchmaking and leatherwork. In metal and leatherworking, it serves as a striking tool for embossing patterns, marks, shapes or ornaments. A chiselling hammer is usually used in conjunction with marking tools such as ball punches.

The round hammer track of this chasing hammer has a diameter of 28 mm and the ball head has a diameter of 17 mm. The head is made of forged steel and is hard chrome-plated. Thanks to the ergonomically shaped teak handle, this 200 gram hammer sits comfortably in the hand.

This hammer set consists of the hammer and nine different inserts each made of metal and nylon. The different shapes of the inserts make the set suitable for a wide range of work. The required insert is inserted into the hammer head and clamped with a grub screw. The set is supplied in a wooden box with a foam insert for practical and organised storage.
