The SBM8025-V is a solidly constructed, frequency-controlled pillar drill with high concentricity. The machine runs very smoothly thanks to the balanced belt pulleys and the V-ribbed belt. The drill is driven by a powerful 3-phase motor, which is controlled by a frequency converter. The frequency converter brakes the spindle when the machine stops, which prevents the spindle from running on for a long time. The drill has two speed ranges, which can be set by changing the position of the V-ribbed belt. The spindle speed is infinitely variable in both speed ranges via a potentiometer and can be read on the digital speed display. The SBM8025-V has an adjustable drilling depth stop. The base plate has a solid design with a footprint of 270 x 255 mm and is equipped with two clamping grooves. Two holes are drilled in the base plate to secure the machine. The height of the ground work table is adjusted by means of a hand crank via a toothed rack. The table, which is designed as a turntable, can be clamped at the set height using a tommy screw. It has four diagonally milled T-slots, a circumferential cooling water channel and can be rotated 360° around the column.
