Conveying centre point, adjustable for conical turning MK2+MK3

This rotating centre point is a practical accessory for lathes and has been specially developed for precise conical turning. It allows lateral adjustment of the workpiece support without the need for time-consuming repositioning of the lathe’s tailstock. This allows conical workpieces to be machined in a controlled manner, with repeatable accuracy and reduced setup effort. As the centre point rotates with the workpiece, friction is reduced and smooth workpiece guidance is ensured. The double-bearing design also ensures stability and smooth running, which is particularly advantageous when machining longer workpieces or producing conical shapes. The centre point can be moved laterally by +/- 15 mm using the adjustment mechanism. This allows the desired taper to be precisely set without altering the tailstock’s basic setting. This simplifies repetitive tasks and improves control when producing cones, tapered fits, adaptors, sleeves or similar workpiece shapes. The live centre features an MK2 taper. A reduction sleeve from MK3 to MK2 is also included in the scope of delivery. This allows it to be used directly in an MK2 chuck or, with the aid of the supplied reduction sleeve, in an MK3 chuck. This increases flexibility when using the tool on different lathes.
