Description of the
This sturdily manufactured drilling machine vice is characterised in particular by the option of quick adjustment. The spindle can be disengaged with a lever so that the movable jaw can be quickly and continuously preset over the entire clamping range. Once the desired position has been reached, the spindle is re-engaged via the lever. In this position, the movable jaw can be moved as usual using the handle. The handle is designed as a hexagonal shaft with a spanner width of 32 mm. This ensures a good grip. A suitable open-end spanner can be used to increase the clamping force. Alternatively, a shaft with an appropriate diameter can be inserted into the cross hole at the end of the handle, which can then be used as a lever.
As the vice is made of solid cast steel, it has a comparatively high dead weight, which increases stability during the drilling process. The jaws, which have horizontal and vertical prisms, are made of steel and ground. The vice can be attached to a machine table using the two elongated holes on the side.
