Intended use
Change gears are used in the primary gearboxes of lathes. They convert the rotational movement of the work spindle to the rotational movement of the lead screw at a specific ratio. This allows various defined pitches or feed rates to be achieved. If a change to a new pitch is required, the appropriate gear combination, as specified in the gear change table, is used. This is done by replacing the gears in the gearbox.

Description of the
This 13-piece extension gear set made of C45 steel consists of two 80 mm, one 65 mm, one 60 mm, one 57 mm, one 55 mm, one 50 mm, two 45 mm and two 40 mm, one 35 mm and one 30 mm gear. This change gear set can be used to replace the standard plastic change gears from the countershaft of the SIEG C2 lathe. The four additional change gears can be used to achieve additional pitches and feed speeds. The gears from this set are considerably more wear-resistant than the plastic gears and therefore have a significantly longer service life.
Attention: In order to be able to produce imperial thread pitches with this extension set, an imperial lead screw must be installed on the lathe. The C2 and SC2 are supplied with metric lead screws.
