This comprehensive turning tool set with brazed-on carbide inserts can be used for turning work such as longitudinal and facing turning, parting off, grooving, internal boring etc.. This turning tool set is therefore ideal as a "starter set". The scope of delivery includes six different chisels for longitudinal turning, a chisel for facing and chamfering, a turning tool for parting off and grooving, two boring bars for internal boring and a chisel for grooving.

The cutting and flank faces of the turning tools in this set are already pre-ground. In order to achieve optimum turning results, the chip grooves must be ground in. As soon as the cutting edges of a chisel are worn, they must be reground. A diamond grinding disc, for example, is recommended for this.

This thread turning tool set includes an internal and an external turning tool for thread turning. The turning tools are fitted with carbide inserts. They can be used to machine almost all possible materials such as plastics, aluminium, non-ferrous metals, iron, cast iron and steel.

The turning tool for external threads has a square shank measuring 16 mm x 16 mm, while the turning tool for internal threads has a round shank with two parallel surfaces. It can either be clamped directly in the steel holder or alternatively with a boring bar holder with an internal diameter of 16 mm.

The use of carbide interchangeable inserts means that the cut threads are always reproducible and there is no need to grind the cutting edge geometry, which is very important for thread cutting.

This set is supplied in a practical storage box.

The scope of delivery includes three chisels for longitudinal turning, two thread turning tools, a parting tool, a drilling tool and a neutral turning tool with a 60° point angle. The latter can be used for both longitudinal and thread turning.

The turning tools in this set are already ground and therefore ready for immediate use. Thanks to the excellent grindability of HSS steel, these chisels can be easily reground or sharpened for use in mould turning. We recommend corundum or aluminium oxide grinding wheels for grinding HSS steel.
