Description of the
The PM2700 lathe is driven by a powerful 400 volt three-phase motor with an output power of 750 watts. Power is reliably transmitted via a double belt pulley with two drive belts. The working spindle gear, which runs in an oil bath, allows six different spindle speeds from 105 to 1,600 rpm, which can be set using two control levers. The Hobby lathe is equipped with an automatic longitudinal feed. To select the different feed speeds for turning and the different pitches for thread cutting, the required change gear combinations are used according to the change gear table. All required change gears are included in the scope of delivery. This model is a lead screw turning machine. To prevent the lead screw from travelling unnecessarily, it can be disengaged via a control lever. The lead screw is completely covered to prevent accidental intervention, and this protection also prevents falling metal chips from sticking. This prevents unnecessary wear and possible damage to the lock nut. The bed slide can be moved manually with the bed slide handwheel via the toothed rack or with a handwheel at the right-hand end of the bed via the lead screw. The guides on the cross and top slides can be adjusted without play using pressure bars. The cast machine bed, which extends over the entire length and ensures high stability and rigidity of the metal lathe, should be emphasised. The prism bed is induction-hardened and ground. The wide headstock and the resulting widely spaced adjustable tapered roller bearings of the spindle shaft ensure a greater support width. This in turn leads to high shaft stability. The ON/OFF switch, the switch for clockwise/anticlockwise rotation and the emergency stop button are located on the control box above the headstock.
The glass scale measuring system mounted on the lathe is characterised by very extensive functions and display options. Selected functions are shown graphically on the display with a diagonal of 18 cm / 7 inches for better understanding. The position display offers the option of choosing between turning, milling or grinding mode. The languages available are German, English, Spanish, French and Chinese.
The following functions are available in turning mode:
- Taper turning
- Tool compensation
- The traverse path in the X-axis can be displayed either in diameter or radius.
- It is possible to display Z and Z0 combined, i.e. the travel of the bed slide and the travel of the top slide are displayed as a total.
The following functions are available in the milling operating mode:
- Inclined contour / surface: Milling of phases or diagonal surfaces
- Setting any number of holes at an even distance on a straight line (SHL function)
- Milling a radius or circular arc
- Representation of a bolt hole circle for evenly spaced holes on a circular arc
- Determination of the centre point between two points
The values can be displayed in mm or inches in all operating modes. It is possible to change the sign when displaying the individual axes. A standby mode can be activated on the position display. The display brightness, date, time and acoustic signals can be set. A calculator function with memory is also available.
Please note: The specified travel distances may be reduced if the measuring bars are fitted.

Super Maschine jedoch Lieferumfang etwas Mager.
