Intended use
Cutterheads are mainly used for face milling of surfaces, as fewer milling passes are required due to the larger milling diameter compared to end mills. It is also possible to mill offsets on surfaces. The main advantages of milling heads compared to HSS end mills, for example, are the standardised indexable inserts, with which very high cutting performance can be achieved. Depending on the material to be machined, inserts with different coatings can be used.

Gut und Günstig
Für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Mit diesem Fräskopf kann man schnell viel Material abnehmen. Die entstehende Oberfläche ist ok. Ein Problem könnte die Motorleistung der Fräsmaschine sein. Ich besitze eine SIEG SU1 in der High Body Ausführung bei der der Z-Achsen- Weg deutlich erhöht wurde. Paulimot hat diese Maschine nicht mehr im Programm, dabei ist meiner Meinung nach nur diese Maschine in dem Preissegment um 1600€ steif genug um Stahl genau bearbeiten zu können. Die Übersetzung des Riementriebes im Antriebskopf beträgt original 2:1 (30:60 Zähne) Der Motor ist bürstenlos und hat 500 Watt. Mit dieser Konfiguration hat die Maschine Mühe mit dem 40mm Fräskopf und Stahl. Ich habe daher mit Riemenscheiben und Riemen von Mädler die Übersetzung auf 3,27:1 (22:72 Zähne) geändert. Damit funktioniert der Fräskopf einwandfrei und das Setup passt auch eher zu den Arbeiten die mit der Fräsmaschine ausführe, dem Herstellen und Reparieren von Teilen für meine Oldtimer.

Fräskopf 40 mm
Bevor ich den Messerkopf bestellt habe, lies ich mich vom Support beraten. Der Kontakt war nett und kompetent. Es wurden alle meine Fragen zufriedenstellend beantwortet. Ich habe eine Sieg SX2L. Dann habe ich online bestellt und alles schnell geliefert bekommen. Leider war der Messerkopf schadhaft. Ich habe mich an den Support gewand und dann noch Fotos geschickt. Das wars. Habe sofort ein Rücksendeticket erhalten und den Messerkopf zurück geschickt. 5 Tage später hatte ich den neuen. So soll es sein. So geht Service. Der Messerkopf arbeitet so, wie es sein muss. Ich bin super zufrieden.
