The working spindle gear, which runs in an oil bath, has six different spindle speeds, which can be set using two control levers. This means that a total of twelve speeds from 65 to 1,650 rpm can be set. The combined lead/pull spindle enables both longitudinal and face feed. A lock nut is also integrated for thread cutting. To select the different feed speeds for turning and the different pitches for thread cutting, the required change gear combinations are used according to the change gear table. The direction of rotation of the lead/pull spindle can be changed independently of the direction of rotation of the lathe chuck by moving a switch lever. This means that this hobby lathe can also be used to produce left-hand threads. The lead/pull spindle is completely covered to prevent accidental intervention, and this protection also prevents falling metal chips from sticking. This prevents unnecessary wear and possible damage to the lock nut. The prism bed is induction hardened and ground. All guides can be adjusted backlash-free using wedge and pressure bars. The main spindle runs in precision tapered roller bearings, which can be readjusted if necessary. The top slide can be rotated through 360°. The tailstock can also be moved for taper turning. A professional control lever is used to switch the lathe on and off (clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation).
The start switch, the switch for an optional coolant unit, the operating light and the emergency stop button are located on the control box above the headstock. Other special features include a centre distance of 750 mm as well as a swing diameter above the bed of 330 mm. The spindle bore of 38 mm is also worthy of note.

PM 3800 Drehbank mit Untergestell

Drehbank soweit gut allerdings, die Drehbank habe ich mit dem Untergestell gekauft aber dieses ist unbrauchbar. Der Drehbank vibriert und es gibt keine guzen Drehergebnisse. Wir mussten ein solides Untergestell selber machen.

Ganz Okay für Hobby

Prinzipiell ein sehr brauchbare Drehmaschine, größter Schwachpunkt meiner Meinung nach ist der Unterschrank und der Oberschlitten. Der Unterschrank ist leider nicht sehr stabil und der Oberschlitten war bei meiner Drehmaschine leider grottenschlecht. Paulimot hat mir daraufhin neue Teile für den Oberschlitten geschickt, die sind zwar besser, aber insgesamt ist die Konstruktion einfach zu schwach. Dies merkt man vor allem, wenn man einen Abstechstahl benutzen will, ohne klemmen aller vorhandenen Schrauben fast gar nicht möglich. Lieferung war sehr schnell, allerdings hat sich die Spedition nicht vorher angemeldet, glücklichweise waren gerade meine Eltern vor Ort, so das es doch geklappt hat.

PM 3800

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Maschine und auch mit dem Zubehör (Multfix Stahlhalter, diverse Drehmeißel mit Wendeschneidplatten, Bohrfutter, Rollkörner, usw. ) Bisher habe ich Aluminium und Kunststoff (PA) - Teile gedreht. Wenn man sich etwas mit der Materie beschäftigt (Schnittgeschwindigkeit, Vorschub) schafft man perfekte Ergebnisse/Oberflächen.

Preis Leistung ist ok. Der Unterschrank der Drehmaschine ist sehr wackelig und meiner Meinung nach zu schwach. Ansonsten alles Top👍

PM3800

Hallo Paulimot, die kleine Maschine mit Zubehör kam sehr gut verpackt an. Schaut alles echt gut aus, auch der oft bemängelte Unterschrank ist gut verarbeitet. Das Multifix A macht einen guten Eindruck, danke an das Team von Paulimot für die Zugabe vom Montagesatz. Ich bin leider noch nicht zum Aufstellen und Ausprobieren gekommen. Bisjetzt ist alles gut. Grüße Günter
