Intended use
Turning tools with carbide inserts are used for basic turning operations such as longitudinal and face turning, parting off, grooving, thread cutting, form turning, etc. Carbides are characterised by their hardness, but particularly by their toughness. They are harder than pure metals, alloys and hardened steel, but are more prone to fracture. Due to their higher temperature resistance compared to HSS steels, turning tools with carbide inserts can achieve cutting speeds up to three times higher.

Ersatzbestellung
Nachdem der erste Satz im Dreheinsatz teilweise verschlissen ist, habe ich mir das gleiche Set wieder zugelegt. Ich hätte es wohl nicht getan wenn ich nicht zufrieden gewesen wäre. Leider ist das neue Case etwas tiefer und passt nicht mehr so gut in meine Schublade.
