Intended use
Turning tools with replaceable cutting inserts are characterised by the fact that worn cutting edges can be replaced quickly and easily. This eliminates the need for the tedious and time-consuming task of re-sharpening the cutting edge. A further advantage of turning tools with indexable or interchangeable cutting inserts is that, depending on the material to be machined, the most suitable cutting insert can be fitted to the holder. For example, there are special cutting inserts for machining aluminium or non-ferrous metals. Both the holders and the cutting inserts are standardised and can be identified by their respective standard designations.

Top mit Multifix
Bin kein Profi was drehen angeht, aber habe jetzt schon einige Drehstähle, Meißel usw. ausprobiert und mit recht enttäuschenden Ergebnissen. Hab mich dann doch für einen letzten Versuch dazu entscheiden noch ein Drehmeißelset mit Wendeschneidplatten anzuschaffen und siehe da mit top Ergebnissen und das auf einer kleinen Chinadrehe. Um Gewinde von 14x1 auf Edelstahl zu drehen waren die mitgelieferten Wendeplatten allerdings nicht geeignet und habe dann die TiAIN beschichteten eingesetzt, dann wurde es perfekt. Schade finde ich nur, das die Drehmeißel aus dieser Serie nicht einzeln bei Paulimot zu erhalten sind, würde sonst noch ein Paar zusätzlich kaufen und diese mit Polierten Wendeplatten ausstatten damit das umschrauben entfällt.
