Intended use
Drilling, facing or boring heads are designed for use on milling machines. Boring heads enable right-angled facing of the end faces of bores or the boring of very precise, round bores. This means that extremely precise bores with fitting dimensions can be produced on conventional milling machines. This is a great advantage when producing bearing seats, for example.

Description of the
This boring / boring head is made of steel. The head diameter is 44 mm. The boring head is supplied with a screwable MK3 / M12 tapered insert. The boring head can be fitted with interchangeable clamping shanks via the M16 x 1.5 mounting thread. This means that this tool can be used on milling machines with different tool holders. The drilling carriage is adjusted manually via the adjusting spindle, the feed accuracy is 0.02 mm. The boring size is 20 to 140 mm. Thanks to the swivelling holder for the HSS insert, this drilling / boring head can be used for a wide range of applications.
Please note that the HSS insert is not ground. The cutting edge must be sharpened before the first use.
