Intended use
An edge finder is used to approach reference surfaces or edges. This allows the work spindle of a milling machine to be precisely aligned with the edge of a workpiece with the aid of an edge finder. Edge finders are available in different versions. They are divided into mechanical edge finders, edge finders with acoustic signalling and edge finders with optical signalling. Versions with combined signalling (acoustic and optical) are also common

Description of the
This set consists of five mechanical edge finders, which consist of two or three partially offset cylinders that are connected internally by a spring. The set contains different edge finders for a wide range of applications, such as approaching an outer contour or determining the centre point of a bore. The surfaces are hardened and ground, the accuracy is 0.01 mm. The edge finders are supplied in a wooden case for practical and appropriate storage. To ensure optimum use, the preservative grease must be completely removed before use.
