Description of the
This end cap is required if profile rails are to be shortened or several shorter profile rails are to be produced from them. The end cap is attached to the side of the profile rail using the two screws included in the scope of delivery.
Procedure for shortening a magnetic tape profile rail:
- Remove both end caps
- Pull the protective film out of the profile rail (do not remove the magnetic tape)
- Shorten the profile rail including the magnetic tape (e.g. with a hacksaw)
- Shorten the protective film (e.g. with scissors)
- Cut two M3 threads on the cut edge of the profile rail to be able to mount the end cap
- Slide the protective film over the magnetic tape into the profile rail
- Fit the end caps
