Intended use

Description of the
This module cutter set consists of six precision-machined gear cutters for the manufacture of spur gears with involute gearing and a 20° pitch angle (PA). As the tooth profile varies slightly depending on the number of teeth, each cutter is designed for a specific range of tooth counts. The set covers a range from 17 teeth up to very large numbers of teeth. For gears with a very high number of teeth, the tooth profile becomes increasingly straight and approaches the shape of a rack. For this reason, cutter No. 1 is designed for the range from 135 teeth up to rack size and is therefore also suitable for milling rack profiles. The cutters are made of HSS steel and have an outer diameter of 40 mm and a bore of 16 mm. The set is ideal for use on milling machines in conjunction with a dividing head, rotary table or dividing device. The modular milling cutter set is supplied in a practical storage box with a custom-fit foam insert, ensuring the cutters are securely protected and neatly organised.
