Intended use
Anchors are used in the goldsmith's trade, they serve as a base when driving sheet metal. A distinction is made between cube, flat and grooved flanges. The indentations in the anchors are usually semi-circular, but can also be grooved. Spherical punches or matching profile irons are generally used for the driving work.
