Intended use
Taps are used to create an internal thread, i.e. a threaded hole, in metal, plastic or other solid materials. A general distinction is made between hand taps and machine taps, also known as single-cut taps. In a 3-part hand tap set, the pre-cutter, centre cutter and finish cutter each cover almost the entire length of the cutting edge. This type of tap is preferably used to produce threads in blind holes. In single-cut taps, the pre-cutter, centre cutter and finish cutter are arranged one behind the other on the cutting edge. This makes these taps particularly suitable for cutting through-hole threads.

Description of the
This hand tap set consists of a pre-cutter, a centre cutter and a finish cutter. The pre-cutter is marked with a ring on the shank, the centre cutter with two rings. The finish cutter has no ring. This set is used to produce metric ISO standard threads. The taps are made of HSS and coated with titanium nitride (TiN) to increase their service life. At the end of the cylindrical shank there is a square for mounting in a tap wrench. The taps are manufactured in accordance with DIN 352 and are subject to tolerance class h6.

Gute Qualität
Die Hand-Gewindebohrer scheiden ein sehr gutes und akorates Gewinde. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und ohne Schwierigkeiten. Den Shop würde ich auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen.

Standard
Preis ist Super, jedoch bereits beim ersten Gewindeschneiden der erste Bruch. Jedoch nicht ganzflächig, sonder nur 1 Rippe/Flanke. Material war Edelstahl. Gefühlsmäßig, aufgrund meiner Erfahrung, war ein Spröd-Bruch, Härtegrad beim Härten zu hoch oder Gewindebohrer aus ungeeigneten Material für den gewählten Härteprozess.
