Intended use
Core drills can be used to drill precisely fitting holes without the need for pilot drilling. The distinctive feature of this type of drill is that the drill core remains inside the drill bit, and only a narrow ring is machined away. This results in less wear on the drilling tool and enables faster drilling. The remaining core is ejected by an ejector pin. Core drills can be used with conventional drills and magnetic drills.
