Intended use
HSS inserts are fitted into the designated holders of cutting tools, where they act as the cutting edge. HSS steel (high-speed steel) is a high-alloy tool steel which is mainly used as a cutting material in machining. It has the highest fracture resistance and the best grindability of any cutting material, making it highly suitable for grinding to size for a variety of applications.
