Intended use
HSS turning tools are used for basic turning work, such as longitudinal and facing turning, parting off, grooving, thread turning, mould turning, etc. HSS steel (high-speed steel) is a high-alloy tool steel that is mainly used as a cutting material in machining. It has the highest breaking strength and the best grindability, making it very suitable for grinding to size for various applications.

Description of the
This comprehensive HSS turning tool set covers turning work such as longitudinal and facing turning, parting off, grooving, threading etc.. This turning tool set is therefore ideal as a "starter set". The scope of delivery includes three chisels for longitudinal turning, two thread turning tools, a parting tool, a drilling tool and a neutral turning tool with a 60° point angle. The latter can be used for both longitudinal and thread turning.
The turning tools in this set are already ground and therefore ready for immediate use. Thanks to the excellent grindability of HSS steel, these chisels can be easily reground or sharpened for use in mould turning. We recommend corundum or aluminium oxide grinding wheels for grinding HSS steel.
