Analogue height scriber
Analogue height scribers consist of a base, a column with a measuring scale and a movable unit with a vernier and a scriber attached to it. The vernier can be used to read or set dimensions to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimetre. There is also the option of fine adjustment of the movable unit. This allows extremely precise scribing lines to be produced parallel to the support surface. Due to their very high surface quality and evenness, so-called scribing or levelling plates are particularly suitable as a base or support surface.
