Intended use
A plunge-cut saw, also known as a plunge circular saw or plunge hand-held circular saw, is a special type of hand-held circular saw designed for cutting wood, plastics, metals or other materials. In contrast to conventional hand-held circular saws, it is possible with a plunge saw to plunge into the centre of a workpiece and cut from there. This is particularly useful when precise cuts need to be made without starting from an edge. The cordless drive means that the saw is independent of a mains connection and can therefore be used universally.

Description of the
This cordless plunge-cut saw has a variable idle speed of 2,500 to 5,000 revolutions per minute. With a battery charge of 5.5 Ah, this saw can cut 45 metres of plywood panels (18 mm). The depth adjustment has two scales (on the rail / without rail) and is carried out simply by pressing a button. Thanks to the extremely flat protective bonnet, flush cuts with a distance of only 12 mm to the wall are possible. A scoring function enables a 1 mm back cut to minimise splinters in laminated materials. The tilt adjustment has stops at 22.5°, 45° and 48°. For cuts where the front of the saw blade must be visible, the saw has a cutting window. The spring-loaded riving knife is retractable, which ensures that it remains in position even during plunge cuts. The machine has a spindle lock for easy saw blade changes. Thanks to the brushless POWERSTATE motor, the cordless plunge-cut saw is designed for the toughest applications. The REDLINK PLUS electronics offer advanced, digital overload protection for the machine and battery and maintain constant power under load. The REDLITHIUM battery pack (not included) for this cordless hand-held circular saw offers a perfectly matched design, advanced electronics and loss-free power output for longer tool life and longer service life than previous models.
