Intended use
A quick-change tool holder set is a precise and efficient clamping system for lathes, designed to enable the rapid changing of turning tools, boring bars or other tools. The tool holder with the tool clamped in place is aligned correctly with the machine’s spindle centre just once. This positioning is secured by a lock nut and is therefore set to the correct height every time the tool holder is reinserted into the base body. The base body of the system is securely mounted on the top slide of the lathe and forms the foundation of the system. The tool holder is the interchangeable component in which the turning tools are clamped. The system’s fine-toothed ratchet mechanism enables repeatable alignment of the tool without the need for readjustment.
