Intended use
A steel holder is always used together with the matching base body of a quick-change steel holder system. The flat version of the steel holder is designed for turning steel with a rectangular shaft. To utilise the advantages of the system, the turning tool is clamped in the steel holder and aligned to the desired height. After reinserting the steel holder, the inserted turning tool is immediately returned to the previously set height. This eliminates the time-consuming alignment of the turning tool to the centre of the spindle.
