Description of the

The SBM8025-V is a solidly built, frequency-controlled column drill with high concentricity. Thanks to the balanced pulleys and the V-ribbed belt, the machine operates very smoothly. The drill press is driven by a powerful three-phase motor, which is controlled via a frequency converter. The frequency converter brakes the spindle when the machine is stopped, preventing the spindle from coasting for a long time. The drill has two speed ranges, which can be adjusted by repositioning the V-ribbed belt. The spindle speed is infinitely variable in both speed ranges via a potentiometer and can be read on the digital speed display. The SBM8025-V features an adjustable drilling depth stop. The base plate, with a footprint of 270 x 255 mm, is of solid construction and is fitted with two clamping grooves. Two holes are provided in the base plate for securing the machine. The height of the ground work table is adjusted by means of a hand crank acting on a rack and pinion. The table, designed as a turntable, can be clamped at the set height using a toggle screw. It features four diagonally milled T-slots, a circumferential cooling water channel and can be rotated 360° around the column.
