Intended use
A depth caliper is a caliper variant that has a so-called measuring bridge instead of the measuring legs. The application is analogous to the use of the depth gauge on conventional calipers. Depth gauges can be used to determine the depth of grooves or blind holes.

This simple depth caliper consists of a measuring bridge made of burnished steel and a measuring ruler made of spring steel. The ruler has a measuring scale on both sides and can be reversed in the guide. This means that either the metric or the imperial scale can be used. The reading accuracy is 0.5 millimetres, or 1/64 of an inch.
The angle of the depth gauge can be adjusted and there are markings for 30°, 45° and 60° on the measuring bridge. The angle and the set depth of the ruler can be fixed using the knurled locking screw.
The caliper is supplied in a practical storage bag.
