Intended use
A spindle moulding is used in woodturning for processing longitudinal wood and is used for shaping curves, grooves and contoured transitions. It enables precise cuts and is suitable for both fine details and general profiling on spindle workpieces. Due to its comparatively light construction, it is easy to control and offers smooth cutting behaviour. It is mainly used for decorative and functional components that are turned along the grain.

Description of the
This spindle moulder has a 10 mm wide and 160 mm long blade made from W4Mo3Cr4V1 HSS steel. The high-performance high-speed steel achieves a hardness of 57-63 HRC and therefore offers good wear resistance as well as stable cutting performance for longitudinal wood. Thanks to its slim design, the tube is particularly suitable for fine fillets, curves and precise detail work on spindle workpieces. With an overall length of 415 mm and a 255 mm long handle made of ash wood, the tool is light and controlled in the hand and enables smooth guidance for both smaller moulding steps and continuous profiling.
