Travelling steady rests are attached to the bed slide. A travelling steady rest supports the workpiece in the area of the turning tool. This enables continuous machining of long turned parts.

This cast-iron steady rest is attached to the bed slide using the hexagon socket screws included in the scope of delivery. The two brass support jaws are infinitely adjustable using knurled screws and enable easy positioning on the workpiece. The setting of the support jaws can be fixed using a hexagon nut for each jaw. Workpieces with a diameter of up to 48 mm can be machined continuously with this steady rest.

LĂ¼nette, mitlaufend

Der erste Eindruck war gut. Das Teil hat ein vernĂ¼nftiges Eigengewicht. Ăœber die Verarbeitungsqualität kann man, gemessen am ansprechenden Preis, wirklich nicht meckern. Es stellte sich als zweckmässig heraus, beim Wiederzusammenbau, nach dem obligatorischen Entfetten, einige Kanten mit wenigen leichten Feilenstrichen zu entschärfen. Fazit: Beim Kauf einer PM 2700 sollte man sich dieses Teil unbedingt mitbestellen.
