Intended use
Forstner bits can be used to produce clean and dimensionally accurate drill holes. The Forstner bit is used in woodworking, e.g. for making blind holes, or very often in furniture making for making mounting holes for pot hinges. Knotholes can also be drilled easily and precisely using this type of drill bit.

Description of the
This carbide-tipped carpentry-quality art drill bit set contains 13 professional Forstner bits with diameters from 15 to 50 mm. The drill bits with diameters from 15 to 30 mm have a clamping shank with a diameter of 8 mm, the drill bits with diameters from 35 to 50 mm have a clamping shank with a diameter of 10 mm. The cutting edges are made of high-quality tungsten carbide. This ensures a very long service life. Thanks to the centre point, the drill bits can also be used with a hand-held drill as well as in a pillar or column drill. The two peripheral cutting edges ensure a clean, dimensionally accurate hole that does not break out or tear at the drill edges. The design ensures very fast chip removal. This in turn reduces heat build-up when drilling wood. The drill bits in the set are suitable for hardwood, softwood, exotic woods, glued and plastic-coated wood panels, etc. The Forstner bits are supplied in an aluminium box with a foam insert for clear and proper storage.
