Automatic reversal of running direction
Description of the
This tapping attachment can be used on pillar drills with an MK2 tool holder. The mechanism of the device reverses the direction of rotation of the clamped tap when idling. Only when the tap plunges into the workpiece does the surface friction in the coupling of the tapping attachment set the running direction of the tap equal to the running direction of the work spindle. When the pressure is removed from the spindle, the direction of rotation is reversed again. At the upper end of the tapping attachment there is a knurled setting ring with a guide value scale for stepless presetting of the torque. As a general machining tip, threads with a large diameter should be cut with a high torque and threads with a small diameter with a low torque. A screw-in stop is included in the scope of delivery.
